PROJECT AMOR
WAYS WE HELP

Project A.M.O.R. serves youth making the transition from minor status to adulthood, increasing their chances for success by providing access to:

FOOD AND SHELTER
Currently we rent one apartment in Alhaurín de la Torre that can house up to six young men. We would love to be able to expand that influence.

EDUCATION/TRAINING
We provide training in Spanish, basic computer literacy, job skills, conflict resolution, and budgeting, just to name a few. Our goal is to help them gain employment and become confident in their abilities.

CULTURAL INTEGRATION
An important aspect of this organization is helping these young men integrate successfully into Spanish society, through language acquisition, job skills, and social and cultural education.

A.M.O.R. is so much more than training and education...

When the young men become part of A.M.O.R., they become family. They are given much, but much is expected of them as well. They sign a contract and are expected to keep their apartment and their reputations clean. We celebrate birthdays together, share meals and cups of coffee, play games and spend time with them, helping them through decisions both large and small. They experience the love of a family while they are in the program, and will always remain dear to us, whether or not they have become independent.
